I'm proud to introduce you to Barney, my 4th honorary blog mascot. Like my last mascot (Mr. Moffit), Barney hails from my own old hometown of Sayville, New York
and hopefully he will follow in the tradition of my 3 previous
mascots and be adopted very soon.
Sadly, Barney's story is all too similar to my previous mascots in that he too was abandoned by his family. He was left on the street to fend for himself. That's not easy after being a house pet, so poor Barney didn't do very well. In no time at all, his long beautiful fur became matted and dirty, and he grew hungry. Thankfully, though, he was rescued by the ladies at Sayville P.A.W.S.
He's being sheltered in a lovely home for now but he desperately needs a permanent family to love and take care of him. He's ultra friendly and beautiful now that he's all cleaned up. With your help, I'm hoping you can help me find Barney a great home so he can follow in the footsteps of my previous mascots and start enjoying life like Never B4.
Here are Barney's stats:
Age: approximately 2 years
Health: Barney is NEGATIVE for FeLV/FIV. He's neutered and also vaccinated. He has a slight heart murmur, but so do I and it doesn't slow either of us down. We just need to be aware of it and get it checked.
Identifying trait: Barney has lovely patches of silky black fur interspersed across his fluffy white coat
If you or someone you know can provide Barney with a loving home, email me at cboyle.now@gmail.com
With the lucky streak my mascots have been having, I'm hoping we can help Barney find a home before mid-summer!
